What’s different with the new Submariner?

Let’s dive into what makes the new Submariner so special, to give you a better idea of why you should consider purchasing one.

The Submariner is easily one of the most famous watches of all time, and since its original debut in 1953, it has become a favorite among divers, explores, soldiers, and even everyday individuals. It’s simply one of the finest models available, and the latest version certainly doesn’t take away from the reputation of the original.

There are a few notable differences though – for example, it’s diameter of 41mm makes it the biggest version of Submariner to date (although it’s only 1 mm bigger than the previous version). The lugs have been slimmed down to compensate for the change, and other minor variations include the remodeled Oyster bracelet and an updated dial (specifically, the text at the bottom).

While there aren’t necessarily any major changes, there are certainly a few little improvements that help to keep this fantastic model up to date and on par with the other excellent watches in Rolex’s range.

Are they worth the price?

While there aren’t necessarily too many differences between the old and new Submariner except for small improvements and an update in style, most would agree that the models are well worth their price tag.

Even just for the legacy alone, the Submariner is worth purchasing. It’s an iconic watch, one that’s not only instantly recognizable as a Rolex, but a timeless piece of workmanship that’s known globally as being one of the best watches in the world.

When you consider the quality that Rolex offers and the beauty of the Submariner (as well as the honor of owning one), it’s not hard to see why the value of this watch goes beyond the substantial price tag. It’s a masterpiece that defines quality, and is a symbol of success.
